High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is an inexpensive, lightweight material that is easy to process, color and mold. HDPE offers excellent chemical resistance and is ideal for packaging household and industrial chemicals like detergents and bleach. HDPE offers good barrier properties and stiffness, making it well-suited to packaging milk bottles, juice containers and cosmetics.
